The back of the box showcases additional details of the set.

The side of the box includes a 1:1 scale printed image of a LEGO butterfly.

Inside the box, you'll find one instruction booklet and four paper bags containing the pieces.

The build starts with the base, then layers of LEGO bricks are added on top.

First, the waterfall foundation is constructed.

After completing the waterfall, a butterfly is placed beside it, and a frog is positioned on the water.

A bird is also assembled and positioned as if flying over the waterfall.

Once completed, the diorama features a dense tropical rainforest scene with palm trees and unique plants.

The butterfly in the set appears to be a Morpho butterfly based on my research.

For added character, I placed a LEGO baby chimpanzee minifigure, which blends well with the scene.

It also gives off a bit of an Animal Crossing: New Horizons deserted island vibe, so I added Blathers from LEGO 77053 Celestial Observatory, which fits perfectly.

Thoughts on Building LEGO 40782 Tropical Rainforest Diorama

Surprisingly, the set includes a good number of pieces, making the build process quite engaging.

I especially enjoyed assembling the palm trees, broad-leaved plants, waterfall, butterfly, and the bird flying over the scene.

This is the first set in LEGO’s Wonders of Travel and Nature promotional series, and I had a great time putting it together.
